SHOULD WE LOOSE OUR STATE PARKS?
The governor’s proposal to eliminate state funding for our state parks — effectively closing 80 percent of the state park system — is a shortsighted idea that must be stopped.Removing $143 million in general fund support for state parks is expected to close more than 200 of California’s 279 state parks and will cause additional economic ripple effects to the state budget and already-struggling local economies. Is this a scare to raise taxes? What do you think!
